Morning Rhythms

Quiet takes real effort to carve out of a day. Mine starts in meditation, turning inward and focusing simply on breath, before the rest of the world starts dialing up. Sometimes, it's a guided journey. For this, I turn to platforms like Insight Timer, which feels like wandering through a great library. I might explore anything from binaural beats and chanting to the grounded wisdom of the Stoics.

I view thoughts as frequencies to attune to, rather than obstacles to clear. Much like the staircases of Luis Barragán's Casa Pedregal—where the geometry ascends with minimalist intent—this practice requires a trust in one's own balance. I've found that a daily practice, whatever form it takes, comes down to showing up, day after day.
